Quinoa and Coconut Granola

I personally love making my own granola so that I can control exactly how it tastes, which ingredients and how sweet it's going to be. I'm the one who takes out the raisins out of my granola plate, so by making my own I can decide if I want or don't want raisins and other ingredients.

The best part of making your own granola is not only choosing your favorite ingredients but how your kitchen smells while you're baking it. A mix of crunchy sweet and spiced nuts and oatmeal. Feel free to use the ingredients of your choice. I always use dehydrated coconut flakes and cinnamon. This time I chose to add quinoa to my granola. Quinoa is a very healthy ingredient with lots of properties and you can prepare it in many ways. I chose quinoa pop or puffed quinoa which is perfect to eat with milk in the mornings.

I store my quinoa in large jars and eat it at breakfast or snacks. To decorate a smoothie bowl, with greek yogurt and fruits, with milk or even to make a cute parfait. It's going to be healthier than the granolas you find at markets, they end up being unhealthy and full of added sugar.
